Bearded Collie

The Bearded Collie is Happy, Outgoing, Friendly, Playful and Drippy.  Anyone who lives with a bearded dog knows exactly what that means-- it means - please wipe your face before you kiss me.  But who cares if you wind up with the drippy face, you know you're loved!

Pit Bull Terrier

It's that time of year again - so busy doing Christmas cards I have neglected my blog.  I'm not sure what my excuse has been for the rest of the time but all that matters is that I'm finally blogging.  It feels good to blog again. So, here's my Pit Bull.  I've only known one so I'm not exactly an expert.  Her name was Soda Pop and she was the sweetest girl.  She kept everything under control at the ranch where she lived and she did a darn good job.  It wasn't all business with her though,  she liked to kick up her heels and have a good time, just as much as any dog.

Spike Jr.

This is Spike Jr. That's what the tag on his collar says. We don't know much about him other than he's a rescue from a Seaside yard sale. He's the perfect companion for Clementine. She can sniff him up and he never complains. He stays out of all her beds, never gets into her food and doesn't compete for our attention. She'd like it if he could go on walks with us but I draw the line there.

This one's for all lovers of Shakespeare AND Schnauzers. You know the story of Romeo and Juliet, well, this one has a different ending. Boy gets girl and they live happily ever after. At night they snuggle down into soft, cushy beds, dreaming about frolicking in the grass, chasing balls, burying bones and a never ending supply of dog treats. In the morning they race outside to frolic in the grass, chase balls, bury bones and snack on a never ending supply of dog treats. Life is good!

Making New Friends in Astoria

Today we met a little dog named Skippy. Clementine about scared him off the bank into the river when she sniffed him from behind. But they decided right away that they each thought the other was pretty awesome. And Skippy thought touching noses was safer.

Poodles come pretty close to being the perfect dog - smart, cute, social and they come in three sizes - Toy, Miniature and Standard. However they do require a lot of maintenance on their curly coats.
